Welcome to a taste of this year's exhibition of work by the fantastic Alumni of the Bridge House Art Portfolio Course 2024/25.

 

It’s been an absolute delight spending the winter with this energetic, dedicated and mutually supportive group of artists and we’re thrilled to showcase some of the outstanding work that they’ve produced while they’ve been with us over the past four months.  

 

It’s always a joy to see each student grow in confidence in their own individual artistic language as the course progresses and the sheer variety of the work on show is testament to our ethos of always encouraging our students to find their own way and their own voice.  

 

The title of the show is a Scots word meaning ‘a gleam of sunlight through cloud’ or ‘a glimpse of the good’ and examples of this are woven throughout the show, from sunlight filtering through tropical mangroves, bouncing off ice fields, glinting through waves and reflecting off a welcoming wine glass…
